Money talks.
It’s the reason why I’m using the subject matter of money in relation to the productivity, power and profitability of meditation.
I could speak to any other subject for that matter here - the wellbeing of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, our relationships, self-identity, leadership…because meditation influences all parts of our lives, but for the purposes of this article, money will do the talking.
Meditation is for pussies
Excuse my irreverence, but that’s what most people think. Only 15% of the population in Australia regularly meditate, this statistic aligning with global trends.
If the other 85% of the population believed that a regular practice of meditation can have real, tangible benefits, they’d be meditating. But instead most see it as a tool for ‘relaxation’, or define it as being ‘woo woo’, or identify it with religious and spiritual practices. There's a mismatch in perception between meditation and how powerful and practical it actually is in our daily lives.
Power versus Force
In Power vs. Force, David R. Hawkins talks about how true power comes from alignment with higher consciousness, while force relies on control, coercion, and ego-driven action.
We force the achievement of goals.
We force the need to be right.
We force the need for perfection.
We force the need to control.
We force the need for safety.
We force the need to be loved, valued, trusted, seen.
We force the need for belonging and connection.
When we force we are in our heads, and when we’re in our heads we’re dead.
Mental effort and willpower cuts us off from our life-force, our presence, our creativity and deeper wisdom…..from our alignment.
True Power comes from alignment
But what are we aligned to? Do we align to fear, scarcity, avoidance, control, manipulation, separation, distrust, disbelief, conflict, stress, worry, anxiety, believing that we need to fix things? Because without awareness, this is the default when ‘shiitake happens’, as my friend Michelle says.
Or do we recenter, reground, honour our humanity and our spirit by connecting to
Our deepest truths - our values, what matters the most to us, our integrity, authenticity, purpose and wisdom gained from our lived experiences
Our body’s wisdom - we allow ourselves to feel all the emotions, knowing that our greater wisdom is through the vehicle of feeling. If we are connected to self (and that is the big question), we have an inner feeling about what feels aligned and doesn’t. Our body is constantly guiding us through our energy levels, sensations, emotions and physical health
Universal Flow / Life Force - here we orientate in unity with The Universe/God/Spirit/Mother Nature/Love. We are not alone, seperate. Think of how nature flows—rivers don’t push, they move with gravity. Birds don’t force flight, they ride the wind. When we align with this greater intelligence, life unfolds with more grace. This is the difference between forcing outcomes versus allowing what’s meant for us to come.
Trust, faith, surrender and receivership- can you have trust in yourself and faith in The Universe/God/Spirit/Mother Nature/Love? Can you let go of control and surrender into this co-creative relationship between self and The Universe? Can you get out of your head, out of do-ership and follow those intuitive pulls. Can you be in receivership of The Universe’s devotion to you?
Alignment is impacted by meditation
Meditation connects me to my deepest truths and to my body’s wisdom. It orientates and reminds me that there’s a greater hand that has my back that sees the big picture unfolding that my human eyes can’t perceive.
Meditation connects me into a state of being of trust. It allows me to not know and to let go of the need to know and control. Lately it’s reminded me to be in receivership of The Universe’s devotion to me and to stop taking over-responsibility.
Meditation and the bottom line
Meditation is such a paradox.
I’ve been a coach, mentor and facilitator for 21 years. I’ve tried all the mind-based strategies I’ve paid marketers a lot of money to advise me on. In fact, the only ROI I received was to know through lived experience what was inauthentic and didn’t work.
On the other hand, I’ve achieved incredible financial breakthroughs in my business from sitting still, feeling, listening and receiving…..from ‘doing nothing’ (initially).
Financial breakthrough #1 - The first time money came through meditation was in 2013. I was out running and heard a voice that said ‘stop and meditate’, and so I did. I saw something. I went home and wrote out what I saw. I then had the intuition to attach a coaching offering to that writing - 6 months 1 on 1 coaching for $10K. That night two people contacted me through Messenger. $20K through Messenger?! I was blown away, in awe, as that had never happened before. It also defied all the teachings about the need to gain trust first by offering smaller programs and building up to the main game.
Financial breakthrough #2 - In 2015 I had a dream where I observed myself receiving instructions. “Bring 3 people directly into the yearlong Mastermind.” When I awoke, I went to North Curl Curl Beach and sat in my car and meditated, and out came what I called a “download”, a piece of writing that didn’t feel like it came from me. I decided to post it on Facebook, although I had judgment as it sounded a little odd. That week 3 people came directly into the Mastermind and I had a client upgrade. That meditation produced $120K in one week.
Financial breakthrough #3 - In January 2023 I ran the very first 9 Week Meditation Program entitled “Authenticity is Profitable” as I wanted to share the power and profitability of meditation. 18 people purchased this for $2000. I not only created the program, I participated in it. During one of the meditations I saw a vision, even more so a calling - to bring those who already lived in the power of unconditional self-responsibility into their ‘sacred leadership’. I’ve run two Sacred Leader programs since then with a total revenue of $229,000.
Financial breakthrough #4, #5, #6 etc….. A few years ago I’d be sitting in meditation and someone would appear in my awareness. I wasn’t thinking about them. In fact some I hardly new or hadn’t seen in a long time. Sometimes I’d get a feeling about why they turned up in my meditation. When this first started happening, I was incredibly curious and so I reached out to them. Most of the time I’d receive responses like “I’ve been meaning to connect with you” or “I was thinking of you just the other day” or “This couldn’t have come in better timing”. These experiences really took me by surprise, and I can’t count how much revenue has come this way.
I’ve achieved more by letting go of control than any mind-based action I ever implemented.
When we are in meditation we come into alignment and move from “do-ership” to “receivership”.
I’m facilitating another 9 Week Meditation Program to the theme of “Surrendered” commencing 7 April. The theme is influenced by a current intention I have to go deeper into my own surrendering.
These 9 Week Meditation Programs include specifically curated guided meditations that are recorded and released every Monday for 9 weeks to be used for personal use. There is also a group component for those who enjoy being in community.
What could you achieve by surrendering?
It’s an oxymoron that puts a big smile on my face.

I’m intrigued by the idea of the “Universe’s devotion” to us. So often the language goes the other way. 😊 Cheers!
