Move When It’s Given
This is what overflow looks like
If you are in a season of overflow - when there is a wealth of leadership within you, when you can feel how much you have to give, you cannot keep squeezing it into the same channels you’ve always used.
And you cannot keep saying only the same things you’ve been saying for decades.
Because there is more here now.
There is more of you here now.
A season of overflow is a deeply creative, autonomous time in your life. And if you don’t recognise that, you will try to contain it. You will try to manage it. You will try to make sense of it… instead of letting it move.
But this is what’s actually here.
There are new ways of leading. And they don’t come from “thinking” what they are.
They are given.
And when they are given, they come with a very specific instruction:
Move.
I saw the new Michael Jackson movie on the weekend and loved it.
What struck me most was how he related to his work.
He didn’t see himself as the creator. He saw himself as the one who received, or in my words, the one who was poured into.
Even though he didn’t know how to read or write music, songs would come to him fully formed. In dreams. In rest. At the most inconvenient times.
And when they came, he moved.
There’s a story that he would wake people up at 3am to record. When someone questioned him “Can’t this wait until tomorrow?”, his answer was simple:
If I don’t move now, it will be given to someone else.
Prince.
How true is that?
Inspiration doesn’t linger.
It doesn’t patiently wait for you to feel ready.
It arrives, it opens a window… and then it’s gone.
Most people miss it because they default to “tomorrow,” “later,” “when I’m more ready.”
That voice feels logical.
But ultimately, it’s protection.
Stay the same.
Stay safe.
Stay in the same lane.
When you are in overflow, you are being poured into.
And your only responsibility is to pour it out - in the ways you are shown, when you are shown.
Not through force.
Not through efforting.
But through commitment.
Through devotion.
This is what I have been living this year.
The messages I have received, through breathwork, through deep listening, through my Notes to Self, have been incredibly clear and directive.
“Surrender into the abundance of the masculine world of form and structure,” always sourced from the feminine.
Meaning I am not figuring this out.
I am being given the next move.
And what has come through that are new streams, new channels, multiple lanes - not from urgency, not from need, not from trying to do more, but from knowing.
From being moved… to move.
And so I have moved.
More than I ever have, actually.
I have surrendered more deeply into my work as a cancer coach, and from that has come:
The Cancer & Courage Podcast
A six-part Mindset is Medicine meditation series
An eight-week cancer group beginning 1 July
A new cancer coaching landing page
A new Instagram account
And at the same time:
The Abundant Leader Meditations hosted here on Substack
Beautiful Madness
Overflow
All continuing to expand.
All moving.
All alive.
All given.
This is not scattered.
This is not frenzied.
This is overflow.
So if you feel it - that sense that there is more in you than your current life is expressing….
don’t contain it.
Don’t resist it.
And don’t wait.
Because you are not the source of the idea.
You are the one it was given to.
And if it has been given to you…
there is only one thing to do.
Move.
A quiet invitation…
If you are in this season where something within you is asking to be expressed, expanded, or brought into form, and you know you are no longer available for holding it alone…
this is the work I am in.
Whether through The Abundant Leader Meditations, Overflow, Beautiful Madness, or simply walking alongside you in your next evolution, there are spaces here for you.
You don’t have to force the next move.
But you do have to be willing to take it.
With you in it,
Gisele
