Unfulfilled & empty despite all the accomplishment in the world
The unspoken conversation kept within
It's those who dare to face up to this reality who work with me.
Whilst they arrive feeling lost because what once gave them meaning no longer does, I know these are symptoms inviting them to go next level in their leadership. Whilst they may not initially recognise this, I know that within them is an 'untapped wisdom' that seeks to give them a renewed sense of purpose and fulfilment....and to show them that all their life experience has not been for nothing.
These are the people who are here to bring a whole new contribution to the world and thus have a unique role to play. Some may recognise this role already, and others who don’t, my role is to inform them. This is our sacred contract. Especially when the world is so contracted and this contraction is amplifying in this very moment with war, hurricanes, mental illness, cancer, violence, corporate trauma, this is when new wisdom is most called for. Today I called these people ‘the new wisdom bringers’.
What differentiates them from others is that whilst their current pain may feel personal, their motivation is not only for personal resolution, but for a calling that is beyond them. They know they are here to contribute to creating a new world.  Nihilism and a sense that nothing has any greater meaning or purpose is not part of their vocabulary. At their core they have faith. At their core they have a knowing that everything is connected. At their core they have a dream that their life is in service to something greater than themselves. Deep within their core is an acceptance and trust that no matter what they are going through, and as hard and as challenging as that might be, that this is a road they must travel to come home to the person they’ve forgotten. And as they remember, they allow others to remember. As they remember what matters the most amongst all of life’s intricacies, they allow others to remember what matters the most. This is their role. This is their joy. And this is their privilege.
Because not everyone has the privilege to care beyond their immediate environment. Not everyone has the capacity to think beyond themselves and their immediate needs. And not everyone has the innate calling and will to contribute to the world at large, whether that be through the ripples created in close proximity, or through the butterfly effect that creates ripples of impact across the other side of the world.
I am truly blessed to walk alongside these people who have the courage to stop going through the motions, who have the humility to go within knowing that leadership always starts with self, and who have a generosity knowing their life is not just for them, but also in service to others.
Honouring all who I have walked alongside, past, current and future.
May this article create more ripples of impact.
Love,
Gisele
